About Prested Real Tennis Club

Founded in 1999 Prested Real Tennis Club has been helping people discover the fascinating game of real tennis for nearly 25 years. It is one of only 24 real tennis clubs in the country and the only one in Essex devoted to this ancient pastime.

Prested Real Tennis Club is one of only three clubs in the country to boast two courts, allowing greater flexibility for court bookings. Our resident Professional team can provide coaching either in groups or at an individual level, and the club offers opportunities to participate in club evenings, and to represent the club in matches against other clubs, either home or away, including trips to play at courts in Australia, France and the United States.

Now run independently by its members Prested Real Tennis Club was once part of the hotel and health club venue with which it is co-located. Our special relationship with the health club means that our members can use its bistro and bar, along with selected other facilities, making the club a great place to relax and socialise.

Whether you’re already a seasoned real tennis player or perhaps you play other racket sports such as squash or lawn tennis, or even if you’ve never played a racket sport before, then we would love to hear from you.
